7/05/03 After my computer eating my first rendition, I will go straight to the facts: I was called in the middle of a party by a friend of mine and asked if I wanted their two FREE tickets to see the HARDER LOUDER FASTER tour stop at the local Tweeter Center. Like anyone in their right mind would do, I accepted, and along with another person, we sped off on a trip that should have taken us two hours to to but took us little more than an hour and a half.
Don't get me wrong. I like Skid Row. I just didn't like their performance that night. It was more sloppy, out-of-tune and high-pitched than usual. That, and Bach's replacement was spouting f*ck every other f*cking word. I'd go ahead and check out the recent album they put out anyway, just to prove me right or wrong. I believe it's out July 15.
Vince- god, has he lost weight? He looked better than when he was on that VH1 special of Tommy Lee's. To put it in the fewest words, on that show he -was- overweight. Not the kind of lead singer groupies normally go after. As for the music- he did mostly Motley Crue songs, but without the rest of Motley Crue, hardly worth it. That's just my idea, but it was done very nicely by the Vince Neil Band. And a 10 for originallity on band names...
Poison? What can I say? C.C. has got to be the midget-guitar-god, the way he does his soloing. The songs were done incredibly well, and they seemed a lot more 'at ease' then the HOLLYWIERD tour. At least Bobby did, the way he was running about, jumping around with energy more than Bret or C.C. They went all-out on the pyrotechnics this year (I'm a freak for stage effects, can ya tell?) and I could've sworn that if the stage itself wouldn't catch fire, someone's hair would. A step to either side of Rikki's moderately-large (bigger than last year) drum set and you would have your right or left side burned off faster than you could blink. It was pure magic. They had more fireworks than the Chicago fourth of july cerimony (not really, they just had a ton) and more lights than you could shake a stick at. I rate it higher than last, espically with the ever popular "I hate every bone in your body but mine" sung by the midget god (I'm in high school, and I could probably rest my elbow on his shoulder no problem).
Humorous story time- this will be added to the What the Hell section eveuntally- Bret walks up to the mic, 12-string in hand, and launches into an intro for Something to Believe In. About fifteen seconds or so into the song, the electric keyboard gives off this horrendous feedback that deafens everyone a little. "Wait a minute, wait a minute, stop." Bret says, looking back at the keyboardist and motioning with one hand. "Now this man," He starts, putting an arm around the guy. "Has been terrific. It's been a long tour (This was the second stop) and it's been really tiring, so let's just give him a hand.Ok, now we're going to start the song again, and if I hear feedback, we'll kick your ass, ok? Good." He smiles innocently, sending the crowd into laughter.
6/2/03 Created UPDATE section where people can look back at my useless ramblings and point and laugh. Worked out what song goes where on the OPEN UP AND SAY...AHH! album. Passed out from exaustion. yay!

Anywho: Posted pics from The Von Dutch Sensless Acts of Kustom Kulture Opening Night, and brushed up a few things on Lyrics. Still majory under construction on the OPEN UP AND SAY...AHH! section. Hope to include at least Chord tabs for some songs.
